Original Species:

Maguniora (Aka Singing Tree Lights or Singing Lights):

Habitat: Most commonly found in trees and hollow wood.

Diet: They eat about four small meals a day, mostly insects and small animals inhabiting the tree; sometimes the tree's bark. During mating season, diet increases in females.

Behavior: During the day they stay inside the tree or hidden among the leaves. They'll eat or play with each other or bond. They are very playful but mostly stay to themselves.
During nights they come out and hang off of the branches and make soothing sounds that resonate around the area.

xD baww I drew this last night against my will. I've been wanting to color with my colored pencils forever because there are a lot of things I want to try

but I haven't felt like it

and this one I think looks a lot better than the others. Of course you probably can't tell because I don't have a scanner xD but yeah. I blended like.... 3-6 colors for everything.

I've come to some realizations:

Just because something is white doesn't mean it has to be outlined with black

Consistency is important~ in pressure and area of color

Shading doesn't necessarily have to be done with a darker color.

Colors blend better with similiar colors (ex. red/pink, blue/purple, green/yellow)

Using a different color to shade doesn't always work. (ex. colored blue, shaded purple)

LEARN TO SHADE PROPERLY ANYWAY~ _{_stupid}

Bright yellows and oranges ruin skin tone

Multiple levels of shading looks nicer~ best when it's easier to differentiate from the darkest shade to the lightest.

Not everything has to be colored.

UHM. Yeah. I made more adopts but I didn't finish coloring them yet~ still testing stuff. I really like this style of drawing though xD I was looking through my old old high school and middle school pictures again and I noticed this style and I was like

oh mai lawd how cute is that xD I just wish I knew what I based it off of. I like how chubby the face is xD
